This crew list is a memorial to the gallant, brave young men who gave their lives for their country at 02.10am on the morning of 18th May 1942, at Gals Klint forest 2km west of Middelfart, Denmark. It also remembers the sole survivor of the crash, without whose help much of the information on this site would never be in the public domain.

The link on any of the names will bring up a history of that airman as far as I know it, and the link to that crewmember's memorial in the War Graves site - but I would always hope to know more about the crew so please email me privately on philip(at)bluedoors.net if you can add any relevant information, or put an entry in my guestbook on the contact page. The crew are buried in the Commonwealth War Graves plot of the Odense cemetery. The moving account of their funeral is here. Some of the links carry the nicknames used by the crew for each other when they were 'off duty'.
