The
Adlerhus
This is where Sgt Jeffs was taken by police constable Toldstrup,
who found my father alive in the wreckage of W7531. It is the gatehouse
to a large private estate at the edge of the Gals Klint forest.
It was here that Doctor Ulrich first administered first aid to
keep him alive - more in the book shortly!

1945 Street
Party
A street party thrown in his honour by the residents of Mayfield
Grove, the street in which he grew up.
This was soon after his long march to freedom from Stalag VIIIB,
and his liberation by the US Army who arranged for his transportation
back to England.

Last visit
in 1949
Sgt Jeffs was invited back to the town of Middelfart in 1949, as
the guest of the Mayor and Lady Mayoress at that time.
He is seen here as guest of honour at a banquet to celebrate his
safe return after the war.

The red cross denotes the crash site, and gives an understanding
of the locations referred to in this site for anyone who is unfamiliar
with Denmark. The land mass to the left is Jutland, and to the
right leads to Copenhagen.
