This
is a site dedicated to the RAF Short Stirling aircraft
that have borne the famous name 'MacRobert's Reply',
and the brave men who fought (and died) in them.
The history of the MacRobert name, it's association
with the RAF, the aircraft and their crews, and a number
of related stories are included.

I am presently
researching the crash of the W7531 LS-F 'MacRobert's
Reply' Stirling, on 18 May 1942 in the Gals
Klint Forest near Middelfart, Denmark, as my father
was the sole survivor of the crash. It has been this
research which prompted me to create a site bearing
the MacRobert's Reply name; there being no other single
reference point that I could find at which to start
my research. You will therefore find a certain 'bias'
towards the W7531 which is my specific interest, and
which will feature in a forthcoming book about the 'Sole
Survivor' of the crash and his wartime experiences.
A film of the research into the crash of the W7531 is
already underway....
If you wish to contribute relevant material for the
site, or contact me regarding any aspect of the history
of the MacRobert's Reply aircraft, then please send
me an email to philip(at)bluedoors.net.
