Every year on 4th May
the Danish people come to Gals Klint, as part of many
other WW2 related ceremonies across the country, to
remember the airmen of the MacRobert's
Reply who on 18 May 1942 gave their lives in the
struggle for the liberation of Denmark from the Germans.
Below are some of the
scenes from the 2004 memorial. The 2002 (60th anniversary)
memorial pictures start here.
My sincere thanks to my good friend Lisbeth Behrendt
for taking these photo's for the web site. As ever this
site owes so much to her commitment to the memory of
this event, and the people of Denmark for keeping it
fresh in our minds.
