Alastrean House is the home of the
MacRobert Trust, and was donated to the trust by Lady Markham MacRobert
on her death. The home provides shelter and care for ex-service men
and women, and is another lasting legacy to this remarkable woman
whose name provides the basis for much of this site in one way or
another. (Click any image for larger picture)
My thanks to Linzee Druce for providing
the photo's of the house, and for the image of their much loved framed
picture of the crew of the N6086 'Reply'. Linzee is also the author
of her own site at Archie
- A Pilot in RAF Bomber Command - A personal history site. Its
in relation to William Bruce Archibald, a pilot in RAF Bomber Command
during WW2, lost during a bombing raid on the German Battleship Tirpitz.
Well worth a look.
